George Fisher Middle School in Carmel, NY Invited Ralph and Mr. Nils Mockler to their assembly to discuss their experiences in WW2. This allowed the students the opportunity to ask questions about their experience, and students the opportunity to say thank you for their service and sacrifice.

This serves as the second, third, and fourth trip with a new group of veterans who went out fishing the Hudson River.

On its Maiden voyage, Mended Swords’ new vehicle started its first of many fishing trips for veterans on the Hudson River.

This year we went back to Bethel Woods NY to complete our next Spartan Race. The weather caused many issues, but we completed our mission and had some fun along the way.

Ralph was the Guest of Honor at Keller Army Community Hospitals West Point Military ball, whose theme was “A Knight to Remember” honoring those who served during World War 2.

Ralph previously went to the WW2 museum in Gettysburg and went through the “American Experience” section and was able to share information on his experience during this time. They reached out and asked if Ralph could share his experience via an interview. Ralph’s Interview, along with others will forever be played in this section of the museum.

Mended Swords was invited back to White Plains Saint Patrick’s Day Parade, where Ralph led the Mended Swords group through the parade, helping to recognize all the military men and women who are serving this great nation.

Ralph and Cookie joined us for the 7th Spartan Race. This year we had over 40 individuals sign up that consisted of civilians, active duty, and retired military.
This race allowed the bonds between all branches of military to be seen as they completed a common mission – to carry a veteran from start to finish. In addition, the playing of TAPS prior to the race added a new perspective and respect that could be seen throughout the team and the crowd.
Thank you to all who signed up and made this race a success.
Mended Swords LTD went to the new field built by Liberty Paintball.
This field offered more opportunities for people to hide and break out their military recon skills. All had a blast and Ralph, although unable to play, was able to cheer everyone on as then went onto the paintball field as well as return.

A group of veterans gathered today to collaborate on a new mission: the care of a Bonsai Tree. The shared time and effort proved to be mutually beneficial, fostering personal growth and healing. The event provided an opportunity for the veterans to work together towards a common goal, while also developing a deeper connection with nature. The act of caring for the tree can be fulfilling, rewarding, and beneficial for their mental health and well-being.
